Metoclopramide is used to help with emptying of the stomach, which aids people with delayed stomach emptying, and to help with gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is also used to treat and prevent nausea, vomiting and migraine headaches.

This medication is usually taken 30 minutes before meals and at bedtime. Follow your doctor's dosing instructions very carefully. Do not use Metoclopramide in larger amounts than recommended.

Common metoclopramide side effects may include drowsiness, lack of energy, nausea, headache, sleep problem, feeling restless. This medication may interact with other medications and hence it is advisable to consult your healthcare professional if you are on other drugs.
